My critical questions:

As I reread the article,  I really wonder about "How often do they report? Do they have an update or follow up?". by this question it makes me want to know that the journalists got any updated from the call out group? did the Disney make any announcement for protect them and did the Florida bill have been amended as they demanded? I knew that they have to live there with suspicion and there is nothing in the law to protects them, must be careful in every action, afraid or being hurt by people who hate them.           I notice that the journalist didn't take action much about this article, it just have a few report about this issue due to the fact that there is a political party involved, it is too difficult to report on this matter. Therefore, I think one of the key questions I want to ask about this article is," what is the key point of the new?,  is that Disney has received criticism and backlash from some conservative groups and individuals for featuring LGBTQ characters and themes in their movies and TV shows. Last but not least, I noticed that the media in the article is not capable of determining what you believe to be true or not, I was thinking about this question, "Does information in the news match what we think we believe to be true?", so I can provide information on the article that this is not the first time that Disney has faced controversy over LGBTQ represent in its media. I can't remember about the film name but I can imagined that there is feature a gay character, which sparked a similar backlash. It's vital to note that while some one may believe that Disney's inclusion of LGBTQ characters or themes is inappropriate for children's media. others argue that it's necessary for represent. However this article is really important for media outlets to provide comprehensive and accurate coverage of controversial issues, particularly those related to social justice and human rights.

The Children of the Iraq War Have Grown Up, but Some Wounds Don't Heal

Summary:

The Iraq War, which began in 2003 and lasted for nearly decade, had a profound impact on the lives of many children in Iraq. Many of these children experienced trauma, loss, and displacement as a result of the conflict. Now, as they have grown up, some continue to struggle with the emotional and psychological scars left by the war.

One of the most significant impacts of the war on children was the disruption of their education. Schools were often damaged or destroyed during the conflict, and many children were forced to flee their homes and communities. As a result, many Iraq children missed out on years of schooling, which has had long-term consequences for their future prospects.

Some of the long-term effects of the Iraq War on children include post-traumatic stress disorder, depression, anxiety and other mental health issues.

Overall, the Iraq War continues to impact the lives of many children who lived through it. While some have been able to overcome their trauma and build successful lives, others continue to struggle with the lasting effects of this conflict.

Reaction:

After reading the article carefully, I came to understand the feelings of the Iraqis at war, how much they suffer and lose everything in the blink of an eye. Not only did they lose, but they also suffered psychological consequences. They even lose their loved ones and lost important organs such as arms, legs, and eyes, which caused them to miss out on many opportunities in their lives whether they failed to complete their studies or something else. If something like this happened to me and in my country, I think I wouldn't be able to handle it because it's too cruel for one person to face such things. so we know that the war is not the best answer to bring freedom or that establish any independence, it is only cruel and the result after the war is not able to improve many things.

Question:

I wonder if the journalist who covers this story has called on the Government aid or not?

Have those affected by the war been healed? If so, from whom and what agency did they receive?

Would writing news like this not affect the minds of generations that have hate or not?

Disney faces backlash over LGBTQ controversy: ‘It’s just pure nonsense’

Date: 21 March 2022

Summary:

This article can be summed up in several points:

Disney typically has not gotten involved in lots of controversial social issues. They are just media giants doing business in order to be more successful. Disney company's one of the world’s biggest media and entertainment empires, prides itself on a lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer (LGBTQ) friendly culture.

・Next up was Florida's bill, '' Don't say gay'' a controversial bill on sexual orientation or gender identity that has been taught since kindergarten through third grade.

・Later, more protests from Disney workers erupted against the Florida bill, and Disney didn't seem to come out in defense of them, which made them think they would. It's not safe to work in a place where the law doesn't support them.

It was tone deaf response, misjudging the mood of an era in which companies face heightened ethical expectations to take a stand on issues such as Black Lives Matter. Although they sent messages to Disney employees confirming that the company supports the LGBTQ rights, they argued that corporate statements were often ineffective.

・The governments of each party have their own arguments, especially the Republican and the Democrats. Republicans are less supportive of LGBTQ claims, unlike Democrats, they stand alongside these group to perform that stand on equality.

The employee protests will culminate with a general walkout by LGBTQ workers and their supporters at Disney worksites. the Human Rights Campaign has said it will stop accepting money from Disney “until we see them build on their public commitment and work with LGBTQ+ advocates to ensure that dangerous proposals, like Florida’s ‘don’t say gay or trans’ bill, don’t become dangerous laws”.

Reaction:

Personally, I think there is a solution to these problems, which is to understand and accept each other's differences. Whether you have a different identity, appearance, or gender, you deserve to be equal with everyone else. Wherever you are in the world, what we all deserve is equal treatment that doesn't differ from anyone, even if we ourselves are different from everyone else. In my view, it would be a good idea to go to the media and ask them to help campaign for equality of human rights. But if there is politics to intervene, I think it will be a huge matter and the interests of politics into the shadows.

Question:

How do you think these problems would be solved if they happened in your community?

- If many of you don't accept differences or don't understand individual rights, will that cause bigger problems?
